Welcome to my blog! This is for both you and me. I have thought about starting my own blog many times, but there was always something holding me back. Finally, I felt the time was right, and I could commit myself to this venture.
I am a mother of a 22 month old baby boy. His name is Daniel, and he is the absolute light in my life. These past two years haven’t been without challenges. There were times that I cried out of sheer helplessness and frustration. Other times my happiness knew no bounds. I am no expert by any means, and the purpose of this blog is not to tell you or teach you how to be parents, what to do and not to do. This blog is meant to be a platform for all the moms, dads, and parents to be-where they can voice their opinions, fears, hopes and dreams without fear of judgment.
Furthermore, my goal is make this blog as helpful as possible for you all. You will see recipes for our
little ones, exercise tips for us, mothers, during and after pregnancy. From time to time I will talk about products that I like using in my day to day life for either myself or my son. There will be little bit of everything for everyone. If you want me to discuss specific topics, feel free to suggest them, and I’ll take it into consideration.
I am an attorney, and as you can imagine, it takes very long and stressful hours to do my job. Approximately a year ago, my husband and I, along with our little one, still lived in California. Our parents, sisters and brothers are all in California. However, due to my husband’s work, we had to relocate to Washington state. Now
we live in a small town where most people know each other by name, and you still see neighbors being there for each other and helping each other out. We live in this county called Yakima. It is an agricultural hub, and we enjoy amazingly delicious fruits and vegetables. In fact, going fruit picking is one of our favorite pastimes.
Once we moved here, I continued working and opened up my own law practice. Soon, however, I realized that I wasn’t doing a very good job either as a parent or attorney. You see, while in California, I never had to worry about who would watch my son while I was working. My mother has been my rock my whole life and she continued to be with my son also. However, here in Washington, we had no family members. I tried to hire babysitters, but for one reason or another, none of them worked out. Therefore, I had to make a decision-hire another babysitter or close my practice and become a stay at home mom for some time. It wasn’t an easy decision to make as I worked extremely hard for my career. However, my son needed me more at that time. So as of couple of months ago I closed my practice and became a stay at home mom. I miss working very much, but I have to say I am extremely happy with my decision. With that said, I am going to conclude my first post. There will be a lot more information that will be revealed throughout my posts.
I hope you join me in this journey, and contribute to this blog from time to time.
